scr001. The young Danish pianist and composer Jacob Anderskov met the renowned bass-player Michael Formanek in 1999, while living in New York. Their collaboration has been going on since - mostly in a trio-setting with the internationally recognized Danish drummer Anders Mogensen.
During the Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2000 the trio was asked to do a recording for the Danish National Radio. Those recordings are what you hear on the debut CD Scraggly Music, released in March 2001. The music is raw and poetic, with space, spirit and lots of energy.
